If I am not a runner can I still participate?
The DDG is open to anyone and everyone. We encourage runners, joggers, and walkers of all
shapes, speeds, and sizes to come out and join us. And if you are concerned about not
being able to finish then check out Run On!'s training classes to get you in shape and up
to speed.
How do I register? You can register on line
by visiting the Registration Link on this website or in person at any or Run On!'s
locations.
How far is a 5k? It is 3.1 miles.
Who does the race benefit? The 2009 DDG is
benefiting the North Texas Food Bank.
Where can I park? Parking for this race can
be a problem. We encourage runners to arrive early the Old Towne Shopping Center parking
lot fills up very fast. The DART is also a great alternative with a stop just blocks away.
Where and when can I pick up my packet? You
can pick up your packet at our stores from March 11 - 13. You can register in person
at that time as well and pick up your race number and goodies.
Will there be onsite/race day registration?
Yes, however the price goes up on race day so we encourage everyone to sign up early.
What do get for my entry fee? All
pre-registered race participants will receive a race packet goodie bag with promotional
items from our sponsors, a race T-shirt, a complimentary beverage from Two Rows, access to
the race day festivities, including the live music.
Can I push a stroller? Yes, runners and
walkers may push strollers, but they will be asked to start near the back of the back.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, dogs are not invited to the race for insurance reasons.
What is the weather cancellation policy? It
is our policy to proceed with the race unless there is active lightning of the City of
Dallas closes the course. In the event of cancellation, the race entry fee is considered a
donation to the benefiting charity.
How many people participate in the event?
The annual DDG is one of the largest and mort popular 5k's in Dallas and typically
